Question Types

The following is a list of question types currently supported by the Informis online survey builder.

• Text Area [SAMPLE]
  - A large text-entry area, capable of accepting several rows of text.
   
  
• Single Line Text [SAMPLE]
  - A single-line text-entry field.
   
  
• Yes/No [SAMPLE]
  - Radio button selection, for asking dichotomous yes/no-type questions.
   
  
• Yes/No/Unsure [SAMPLE]
  - Same as Yes/No above, but allows for respondents to answer "Unsure".
   
  
• Likert Scale [SAMPLE]
  - The classic Likert 7-point scale.
   
  
• Five-Point Scale [SAMPLE]
  - A 5-point rating scale.
   
  
• Six-Point Scale [SAMPLE]
  - A 6-point rating scale.
   
  
• Seven-Point Scale [SAMPLE]
  - A 7-point rating scale.
   
  
• Select Box [SAMPLE]
  - A drop-down select box, populated with client-specified options.
   
  
• Grouped Single Line Text [SAMPLE]
  - Single-Line text boxes grouped together.
   
  
• Grouped Five-Point Scale [SAMPLE]
  - For evaluating several concepts under a shared 5-point scale.
   
  
• Grouped Five-Point Scale plus N/A option [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to enter 'N/A' for null response.
   
  
• Grouped Five-Point Scale with N/A Plus Other [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to respond with other elements.
   
  
Grouped Seven-Point Scale [SAMPLE]
- For evaluating several concepts under a shared 7-point scale.
 

• Grouped Seven-Point Scale plus N/A option [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to enter 'N/A' for null response.
   
  
• Grouped Seven-Point Scale with N/A Plus Other [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to respond with other elements.
   
  
• Vertical Radio [SAMPLE]
  - Allows the respondent to select a single answer from a list of options.
   
  
• Vertical Radio Plus Other [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to respond with other elements.
   
  
• Vertical CheckBoxes [SAMPLE]
  - Allows the respondent to choose multiple answers from a list of options.
   
  
• Vertical CheckBoxes Plus Other [SAMPLE]
  - As above, plus option to respond with other elements.
   
  
• Constant Sum [SAMPLE]
  - Continually calculates the sum of the respondent's numerical inputs. Serves as a guide for "Please divide 100 points between..." -type questions.
   
  
• Zero-to-100-percent scale [SAMPLE]
  - An incremental scale from 0 to 100% in ten-percent increments.
