Starting out as a boat-builder taught David Todd one thing: he really wanted to own a boat... so off he went to university. He was awarded his bachelor's degree with First Class Honours in 1998, then went on to a Master of Commerce in Management Science and Information Systems. When his theses were completed, he went looking for new challenges... Informis was born. David joined the Synergia network as a consultant in 1998. His research and much of his work with Synergia focussed on the application of dynamic modelling to performance measurement system design and implementation, partnering relationships, complexity theory, and participative problem-solving environments. His areas of expertise lie in the fields of systems thinking, dynamic modelling, and research based analysis. He has conducted training seminars in systems thinking and dynamic modelling for a number of clients around New Zealand. David maintains close ties to academia and is co-authoring a book on the use of visualisation approaches to the pre-design, design, post design of a dynamic performance measurement system. |
