David Parker has a colorful past. At odd intervals during his tenure as Auckland University's oldest living undergraduate, he took a few detours to experience life as a military pilot, then as a semi-professional snowboarder. (Nice for some).
He returned to university, completing his undergraduate studies in Marketing and Management Science with first class honours, then a Master of Commerce with Distinction in Management Science and Information Systems. His main research interest centers on chaos theory and complex systems, and his master's thesis was an exploratory study establishing a link between complexity theory and business practice.
He worked his way through university as webmaster for a successful New Zealand e-learning company that provides online teaching simulations to business students and professionals. Armed with five years' experience in web design and online database management, David is the technical know-how behind Informis.
